Your navigation menu is the row of links visitors use to get around your site — usually across the top. Here's how to manage it.

  • In the admin menu, go to Appearance → Menus.
  • If you have more than one menu (for example, a header menu and a footer menu), choose the one you want to edit from the dropdown at the top.
  • Screenshot placeholder

  • On the left side of the Menus screen, find the panel listing your Pages (or Posts, or Custom Links).
  • Check the box next to the page you want to add.
  • Click Add to Menu. It appears at the bottom of your menu structure on the right.
  • Click Save Menu to make it live.
  • Adding an external link Want to link to something outside your website — a social media page, for instance? Use the Custom Links panel, paste the web address into "URL," add link text, then click Add to Menu.
  • Find the item in your menu structure on the right.
  • Click on it to expand its settings, or click the small arrow/remove option next to it.
  • Click Remove.
  • Click Save Menu.
  • This doesn't delete the page Removing something from your menu only removes the link — the page or post itself is completely untouched and can still be visited directly, or added back to the menu later.

    Reordering menu items

Click and drag any menu item up or down within the list to change its order. Drag it slightly to the right to nest it as a sub-item (a dropdown) under the item above it. Remember to click Save Menu afterward.

Always click Save Menu Reordering, adding, and removing items only takes effect once you click Save Menu. If you navigate away without saving, your changes are lost.
