Blog posts are different from pages — they're timestamped, listed chronologically, and organized with categories and tags. Great for news, updates, and articles.

Creating a new post

  • In the admin menu, go to Posts → Add New.
  • Type your title at the top.
  • Write your content in the main editing area — click to type, just like a document.
  • Fill in the Category, Tags, and Featured Image in the right-hand sidebar (details below).
  • Click Preview to check how it looks, then Publish when ready.

    Editing an existing post

Go to Posts, click the title of the post you want to change, edit it the same way as a page, then click Update.

Categories vs. tags — what's the difference?

Think of a filing cabinet A category is the drawer — a broad section like "Company News" or "Industry Insights." A tag is a sticky note on an individual folder — a specific detail like "hiring" or "quarterly report." Use a few categories consistently, and tags more freely.

To assign a category: in the post editor's sidebar, find "Categories," check an existing one, or click "Add New Category" to create one.

To add tags: find "Tags" in the sidebar, type a tag name, and press Enter. Add as many as are genuinely relevant.

The featured image is the thumbnail that represents your post in blog listings and when shared on social media.

  • In the post editor's sidebar, find Featured Image and click Set Featured Image.
  • Upload a new image or choose one already in your Media Library.
  • Click Set Featured Image to confirm.
  • Widescreen photos work best A landscape-oriented image (wider than tall) typically looks best as a featured image. See image optimization tips for sizing guidance.

    Scheduling a post for later

Want a post to go live automatically on a future date?

  • In the post editor's sidebar, find the Publish panel and click on the date next to "Immediately."
  • Choose your desired future date and time.
  • The Publish button will now say Schedule — click it.
  • Your post will automatically go live at the date and time you chose. No further action needed.
  • Deleting a post

Hover over the post in your Posts list and click Trash. Like pages, trashed posts are recoverable for 30 days — go to Posts → Trash to restore one.

Deleting a category doesn't delete the posts If you delete a category by mistake, the posts that used it are safe — they just lose that category label. Nothing else is affected.
